Series 1: Mental Illness on Film
Our first series aims to introduce you to our podcast through a discussion of cinematic representations of mental illness.
For six weeks we’ll be covering different branches of psychiatric diagnoses, including Anxiety, Depression, Psychosis, Narcissism, Borderline Personality Disorder and Psychopathy. In every episode, we each pick a film related to the clinical disorder in question and offer psychological interpretations to explore the capacity of moving image to showcase emotional and mental functioning.
Here's some tasters of what we've got in store for you...
Listen to Episode One: Anxiety now, we're discussing Bunny Lake is Missing (1965) and Prevenge.
